DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT

OUTREACH ACROSS SOCIAL CHANNELS

THE CHALLENGE

Campus safety topics often contain important information that students and staff tend to overlook in busy social feeds. The U-M Division of Public Safety & Security needed engaging, relatable multi-channel visual assets to cut through feed noise and drive traffic to safety web articles.

THE APPROACH

My goal was to make safety messaging approachable to U-M audiences. I looked to contemporary social media trends for inspiration. For example, with the online dating safety and Clery Report example topics, I paired images with fun elements like chat bubbles and hand-drawn accents. Light, accessible typography completed the look and made the information more appealing to the campus community.

OTHER WORK

I've designed social media assets and collaborated on marketing campaigns primarlily hosted on Facebook, X, and Instagram. The #ThankfulThursdays and #MotivationMonday campaigns for the U-M Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Program is another good example of my work.
